About Our Cafe
We are a community oriented coffeehouse serving organic, fair-trade coffee and espresso drinks. Our food is lovingly prepared from scratch using the best quality ingredients with a menu including vegan, vegetarian and carnivorous options. We serve breakfast all day, southwestern specialties, handcrafted sandwiches and great coffee drinks in a fun, relaxed and social atmosphere.
Morning Brew Café and Coffeehouse was opened in May 2005 by Jane Simos, a 1990 graduate of SUNY New Paltz, and full time Stone Ridge resident, who traveled the world for 10 years as an adventure travel guide. After moving back to the Hudson Valley, she saw the lack of coffeehouse culture in the area as an opportunity to create "a comfortable place on this side of the mountain to get a good cup of coffee and a healthy meal for a reasonable price."
The Morning Brew's menu is diverse, and cooked from the highest quality ingredients available. Locally grown and organic supplies are used as often as possible. There is a wide selection of cold beverages and specialty teas, various roasts of Deans Beans Organic Fair-Trade Coffee, yerba mate, and espresso drinks created by trained baristas. A portion of Morning Brew's proceeds are donated to Coffee Kids, an international non-profit organization established to help coffee-farming families improve the quality of their lives.
